While I'm on the subject, I had the opportunity to win a Smart Mom Teething Bling camo necklace last year from Shairbearg's Blog, now The Knit Wit By Shair, so I'll do a little review here!

Teething Bling by Smart Mom Jewelry is the original teething jewelry. I think it would also function wonderfully as a nursing necklace, to distract the twiddlers in your life!

The pendant is made of food-grade silicone (BPA- & phthalate-free) that's safe for babies to gum (though not bite through), and it's even dishwasher-safe! The pendant is strung on a black cord with a breakaway clasp. It hangs low so your baby can grasp it!

Ignore these pictures of my son wearing the necklace; despite the safety measures, it's intended only for adult wear. I just had an eager model!

I have put the necklace aside to wear the next time I have a young teether and nursling (I'm due in the early summer, so soon!), so I haven't gotten to try it out in terms of having a little one gum it. But here are my impressions of the necklace.

I think it looks very chic and simple. No one will know it's a teething/nursing necklace until your baby starts drooling on it and you don't protest! I find it more appealing than some of the more baby-ish designs of some nursing necklaces. I would like the simple look of the donut pendant on a black cord even if it weren't functional jewelry — since it is, so much the better!

The elements were high quality and appealing. The cord is very silky and felt smooth against my skin. I liked how smooth the silicone pendant felt as well. I definitely think that gentle texture would soothe inflamed gums!
